I said exactly the same thing on here at the time, one particular WHOer was saying he would come back to haunt us and so I suggested a wager of £100 to the BM fund that he would do nothing at Villa. Alas the thread seems to have been deleted, hopefully that WHOer will fess up and pay up

I was shocked when Villa gave him a 2 year deal, he was finished years ago at the top, but probably sums Villa up.
Was a top player in his day, ableit probably never quite lived up to all the hype. As a person I always found him to be a bit of a dick, ableit a very wealthy dick.

A great footballer who lacked speed from a mobility perspective and physical power.
Which are the two things that most coaches look for these days and can utilize in the modern game.
His speed of foot with the ball and his vision and accuracy could have been used to greater effect by coaches
